Classroom noise meter - calibrated to protect hearing

Description

This is an updated build of a classroom noise level meter.

This mini-traffic light unit is based on a 08M2. It is able to log data using a rolling average to smooth transient noise spikes and a short time delay means it is immune to children that want to shout at the meter to make the lights go off.

Being able to log data and transmit data via bluetooth to a server means authentic data can be collated to look for patterns in behaviour and address health and safety concerns for teachers in the workplace.

The website link shows what actual data collected from a classroom looks like, and the original version of this was developed into a non-logging commercial unit that helps childcare centres across New Zealand protect children's hearing.
